Me and My Exaggerating Ways

Sometimes, OK, maybe a lot of times, I exaggerate for effect. It's mostly with numbers: I've seen this movie 83 times, I feel like I've drank 42 glasses of water today, I need 60 more hours of sleep. A lot of times, I actually say 6,432: When you go to the store, get me 6,432 cans of Dr Pepper.

Well, a few minutes ago, I said, 'There are about 16 places I'd rather be right now'. Let's see if my estimate is correct:
  1. The bathroom. I really need to pee.
  2. Online checking to see if my grade is posted yet. (I'm kinda nervous. I need to keep my A streak going.)
  3. Michaels. I want to buy some popsicle sticks.
  4. The Hob Lob. See Michaels.
  5. Home. I wouldn't mind curling up on the couch and reading right now. (I started Into the Woods last night.)
  6. Shopping. I need to pick up a little gift for my two favorite little girls.
  7. Bob and Missy's. I need to drop off a cooler and a coat.
  8. Meant to Bead. I want to buy some beads for a cool project I have in mind.
  9. My garage. I really want to straighten it up before it gets out of hand.
  10. A bathtub. I need a bath. With hot, hot water and bubbles.
  11. The grocery store. I feel like cooking and baking, but I need some supplies.
  12. A track. I ran once last week and need to do it again before I lose my motivation. Unfortunately, it's going to be dark before I get home and I'm not sure what to do about that.
  13. Nashville. I love that city.
  14. In front of the TV. We need to get caught up on Sons of Anarchy!
  15. The bank. I have several checks to deposit.
  16. The salon. My tootsies could use some polish!
I did it! 16 places I'd rather be right now. I actually think I could have kept going!

Haha. I do this all the time. I think it adds 'oomph' to whatever you're saying. "OMG, I've peed 137 times today" sounds so much more serious than "...15 times". ;)

All of these sound nice, but I'd like for you to be at #14 first!

Exaggeration is ALWAYS funnier.

The girls used to say "eighty-nine hundred" all the time - not sure where they heard it but they liked saying it. How many pieces of candy do you want? Eighty-nine hundred!

I'm curious, what do you need popsicle sticks for?

Also, Into the Woods? I have not heard of it.

I'm grinning from ear to ear. By the way I have a bathtub I never use and plenty of hot water(I do use that though)!
