I wish I could say I found this new book by Adam Mansbach myself, but really it was a coworker (who saw it here). I don't need credit, I'm just giving you the back story so you know who to thank.
The title is vulgar, yes, but the sentiment rings pretty close to home. At least my home. I swear I've said this before (and it just somehow ended up in print):
“The cats nestle close to their kittens.
The lambs have laid down with the sheep.
You're cozy and warm in your bed, my dear
Please go the f@#k to sleep.”
Mansbach's point is not to shock, but to open discussion:
“These are legitimate ways that we feel, and we should laugh about it, and be honest about these tribulations.”
So true. Go The F&*k to Sleep comes out Oct. 11.
