Is Earl Right?

A few weeks ago, Billy and I were sitting at a red light on the exit ramp from 475/23 South to Central and saw karma in action (if you believe in that sort of thing).

There was a car or two in front of us and a car or two behind us, all waiting patiently for the light to turn green, as a sign indicated that turning on red was not allowed, when out of nowhere an SUV came up the shoulder and turned right on red, literally leaving all of us in his dust.

Billy and I called him a jerk, then started moving cause the light changed. We crossed over 475/23 and what do we see but the jerk pulling onto a side road - with a flat tire! He most certainly did not have a flat time when he flew past us; he had to have gotten it while driving on the shoulder. Ha.

Do you believe in karma?

I think that karma is beating me up right now. In the past five months a whole lotta bad luck has found its way to us. We had a broken fridge, a broken air conditioner and a clogged pipe requiring a repairman, all in the span of seven days. Since, we've had a mouse issue (ew), a mystery reason why our dryer wouldn't work, whereas four weeks later and after spending $200 on repairs, figured out it was a $12 easy fix, we got rear-ended this past weekend, and last night our oven caught fire.

I'm a bit scared of what's next. And I can't figure out what we've done to deserve the rough time we've had!

HA, that is great!

I do say stuff like "oh that is karma", but I don't really believe in it. I just think we have actions and then there are reactions/causes to those actions. The douche guy wanted to drive on the side of the road, there is always crap over there, he took that chance and that is what happened because of his actions. The decisions we make every day influence both good and bad actions. But I will look at something like that and laugh and thinks he deserves it for being an a-hole!

Now for poor Kay or when a bunch of shit like that happens, that just f'n sucks and is not karma but an unfortuante series of events. That all really sucks Kay, I know how you feel when it all seems to just hit at the same time. You are like what the heck did I do!!! Hope it gets better. Probability would say it would have to :)

Ha! Call it karma. Call it reap what you sew.

I'm a believer in paying it forward. If you do nasty things to others, nasty things WILL happen to you.

I believe it.

HOWEVER - I would like to say that annoying/terrible things DO happen to people (Kay for example) for NO explainable reason.

In that case - it just blows.

(Sorry about all that crap, Kay!)
