This Proves It ...

... life is not fair.

Way back in 7th grade, I tried out for the volleyball team and was one of only two people cut. I think it would have been easier on me if the coach kept all of us, even if I sat the bench the entire season. But, not making a team for lack of skill is something I can understand, now. Getting kicked off a team for having skill is something I can't understand.

The Youth Baseball League of New Haven (Connecticut) recently told 9-year-old Jericho Scott that he was too good to pitch in that league and therefore has to either find a different league or play a different position. The League's official position is that Jericho's fastball, which tops out at 40 mph, is dangerous, but, of course, there are other takes on the reasoning behind the League's decision. Read it all here and let me know what you think.

Poor kid didn't do anything wrong he can just pitch super good for his age. Let him enjoy himself with his friends.

Yeah, I read this story this morning…..Greg and I thought that the kid should at least play. He can play other positions can’t he and then practice his pitching with dear-ol-dad. There's also playing an unofficial game that's always way more fun! I think it's awful that they didn't mention any other alternatives other than...he just can't play. What kind of crap is that?!!!

IT WAS HARD FOR ME TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE STORY WHEN I KEPT FOCUSING ON HIS WEIGHT. HE LOOKS LIKE A MIGHTY MOUSE!
