Always Wear Sunscreen*

Being a redhead with fair skin, I always have sunscreen close at hand. Despite liberal application, I've had two pretty major sunburns (one that left a bump the doctor deemed worthy of removal), so if you want me to go out in the sun, give me time to get greased up.

I went above and beyond when it came to sunscreen Sunday, or so I thought. A thorough coat of SPF 60, followed a few hours later with a coat of SPF 45. But still, I got burned. It hurts to comb my hair because my scalp is red. It hurts to shower because my back is red. It even hurts to go outside because my shoulders and neck are red.

Do they make SPF 2 Gazillion?

Conway Twitty!

Actually I have no idea, but that Twitty was always coming up with something.

And I know what you mean. I'm blonde with fair skin, so being burnt is a natural part of summer.

Are you stil on antibiotics? If so, those usually have specific warnings to stay out of the sun for this very reason.

So maybe that's why you got so burnt.

Just a theory.

Sorry you are so burnt!

Actually, this year I have gotten burnt twice. I have dark hair and haven't been burnt since I was a kid. I am on some new medications so that might be why. I also bought SPF 60 just recently :)

Hope your burn gets better.
