Half the Hostess I Want to Be

One of my favorite things about being a homeowner is hosting parties. We have an annual party (the Stark Summer Shindig), but I don't really need a special occasion to want people to come over and eat my food. If you ever need a place to stay or have a hankering for mini tacos, look me up.

That said, I was disappointed in my third attempt at Easter. I had fun cooking the appetizers and dishes and desserts. But as soon as the food was gone, I felt like there were a million other things I should have done. Easter baskets for my guests perhaps? Cloth napkins? Fresh flowers?

I felt the same inadequacy after two of our friends stayed the night earlier this month. Sure I left out towels, but wouldn't mini soaps have been adorable? Or fresh-baked muffins?

Maybe someday I'll get my act together, but until then, I'll keep trying!

HAHA! First I love the title of this post! very funny!

I love hosting things but I also think sometimes there is a thing as too much! I need to learn the philosophy "less is more". I try to do a bunch of things and theme everything out when people come over and then I just wear myself out doing everything to make things "perfect" and don't always enjoy it.

I am sure your easter was very memorable for your guests!!!

Oh, I always have a hankering for mini tacos!
