I Fell Off the Wagon

Like millions of people around the world, I've been trying to eat a little better in 2008. I'm not drinking pop and I'm keeping my chocolate intake to a minimum. I haven't had ice cream for weeks, although I did indulge in a scoop of Edy's Yogurt Blends Chocolate Fudge Brownie last week. All in all, I haven't been doing too bad. Until yesterday.

Here's what I was faced with yesterday at my friend E.'s Super Bowl party:
  • Queso and chips
  • Frank's Red Hot Chicken Dip and chips
  • Bacon-wrapped wienies
  • Meatballs
  • Chicken Won-tons
  • Crab cakes
  • Salmon burgers
  • Lobster-stuffed, bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp
  • Lobster-stuffed mushrooms
  • Chocolate chip cookies
  • Peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies
Oh, and one measly veggie tray.

What's a girl to do?

Sometimes, I wear my tight jeans to parties so I won't overeat. Is that psycho?

It is one weekend a year....you have to have a bit of fun!

I have been trying to lay off the pop as well. I haven't had a Pepsi in weeks, just a Sprite a couple times a week. This last weekend....3 cans of Pepsi - eek!

But I am over it...now no more Pepsi!

It sounds to me like you had protein. Protein is good. You should feel good that what you ate was not all sugars. Hope this helps. :)
