Two Should Do It

When I was in high school, I thought (for about five minutes) that it would be cool to be an interior designer. Since then, I learned that I am lacking what I think would be an important skill - spatiality.

Every time I move into a new apartment/house or buy new furniture, B. gets a kick out of how much room I think I have. Four couches in our living room? Sure, we'll have room! Two dressers and a king-size bed in our bedroom? Of course.

Last night B. got another laugh when my estimate of linear wall space was off by about 15 feet. Yep. I thought we'd only need about two orders of wainscoting to finish our dining room. Turns out we need four. Oops.
