I cannot describe how absolutely amazing Wicked is. The storyline, the actors, the music, the sets, the costumes - none of it could have been any better.

If you are even remotely interested in seeing this play, do it now. I know it's kinda of the 'it' thing to do right now, and I was a little afraid that it wouldn't live up to its hype, but Wicked really is unbelievable.

I have wanted to see this so bad for awhile. We just haven't gotten around to it. My mom was trying to bid on tickets in Cleveland at a charity auction and I guess the bidding was crazy!!!

I am glad you enjoyed it!!!

Well, based on all of these glowing recommendations from everyone we just got tickets for Dec. 23!

We were going to Chicago for Christmas anyway so we decided to make a side trip to the theatre. The whole D fam is going too - should be fun. I'm excited. However, I'm slightly afraid that my expectations are too high.

I'm also a little nervous. What if it changes my 29.5-year-old option of the Wizard of Oz? I may be a little peeved.

M. - if you have time, read the book before you go... it just may be worth it... :-)

I am SO GLAD you loved it, A.! Do you own the soundtrack yet? :-)

I don't have the soundtrack yet. Maybe for Christmas?

I'm intrigued by the people who say to read the book first. I didn't read the book first and am a thousand percent glad I didn't. I loved the many 'ah-ha' moments I had during the show, which I wouldn't have had had I read the book. I think those 'ah-ha' moments were what made the show for me, without them, I'm worried I wouldn't have liked it as much.

I'm gonna have to go with A on this one. Not sure I want to ruin the surprise. Perhaps I'll read it afterward.

I absolutely ADORED reading the book first - I felt as if I had SUCH an insight into the musical. Like I "knew all of the back story" as it unfolded.

It was AWESOME. :-)

No matter what - I am so excited you're going.

I'd LOVE to see it again.

I read the book first and was absolutely thrilled I had also. I'm with you two/dos! I also listened to the soundtrack first and it made it more enjoyable.

I think that knowing the background of musicals helps you be able to get the full experience and enjoyment. I feel that I actually got more out of it having the extra knowledge.
