Time Flies Part II*

* Or, Hindsight is 20/20

As promised, I didn't stuff all of my reminiscing into my last post. I figured it'd be more readable - and writeable - in two.

I've been doing a lot of reflecting since realizing that I've 'been on my own' for 10 years. Here are a few things I wish I could tell that 20-year-old country girl from Cecil, pop. 211.
  1. You don't have to graduate in four years. That 21-credit hour semester was a bad idea.
  2. It's OK to go to the bar on random Tuesday nights.
  3. It's OK to miss a random Wednesday class. (See #2)
  4. Walking to class, work and the bars is exercise. Find the time to keep that up after graduation.
  5. It's OK to date guys you don't plan to marry.
  6. Keeping in touch with your college friends takes effort. Do it.
  7. Don't forget your friends from home, even if they can't drive in the city.
  8. Keep in touch with your mom. If 'Friends' is on when she calls, record it, talk to her.
  9. Go on Spring Break.
  10. Take your tongue ring out before your N-M interview.
  11. Keep a diary. (Or start a blog.)
  12. Take pictures. And write dates and names on the back of them.
  13. Pierce that part of your ear you're thinking about piercing. It can't hurt that bad.
  14. I'm glad you got that tattoo.
  15. Don't ever be afraid to be yourself.

I love your list. Favorite item was about talking to your mom when Friends was on.
