A Good Group of Guys

After B. and I's relaxing lake visit, we headed to Indianapolis, the home of B.'s fraternity brother C., who got married Saturday (along with a million other couples).

It's amazing to me how easily the guys pick up where they left off when they see each other. It's not all reminiscing about the good old days (although there is a lot of that), they have easily transitioned into post-fraternity friendships, where they talk about jobs and kids and vacations and houses. I think I'm a little jealous.

I'm also a little sad to see these reunions end. Now that C. has tied the knot, almost all the Delta Upsilon brothers from B.'s college days are married, which means the brothers will be seeing each other less and less.

Some of the other DU wives were talking about this Saturday and decided to start a DU Wives Club. Our main goal is to make sure the guys continue to get together at least once a year. I think it'll be easy. We'll give them a time, date, place and tell them there's beer.

What a great idea. Really.

Just thought I would add to the fratboy stereotype that doesn't apply to our chapter of DU!

Just so you know Korzan is engaged. His wedding is going to be in Tuscan next June. Might be a good reason to make a trip out there again, if invited. Don't know how many bros will make it out though.
